On June 20 at 6pm, Lilia Munn will participate in The Art Parade at Los Angeles County Museum of Art, a large-scale public celebration marking the opening of the museum’s highly anticipated David Geffen Galleries.
Presented along Museum Row on Wilshire Boulevard, The Art Parade transforms public space into a living work of art through mobile sculptures, costumes, banners, inflatables, music, and movement-based performances. Conceived by influential curator and art dealer Jeffrey Deitch, the original Art Parade took place annually in New York’s SoHo from 2005 to 2008, bringing together more than 1,000 artists and participants each year in a vibrant creative procession.
This Los Angeles edition marks a defining cultural moment for both the city and Los Angeles County Museum of Art. The opening of the new David Geffen Galleries culminates a two-decade transformation of the museum’s campus. Designed by acclaimed architect Peter Zumthor, the new building introduces 110,000 square feet of gallery space and 3.5 acres of outdoor public space dedicated to art and community engagement.
Lilia’s participation in The Art Parade reflects her ongoing commitment to expanding the boundaries of art, fashion, and public experience.
