Hydroprint on Stained Glass Suspended from a Ceramic Tree

This work was created as part of Enchanted Abstract Forest, an immersive installation that invites viewers into a dreamlike landscape shaped by color, material, and light. The forest functions as a deep exploration of how Lilia’s expressive, vibrant abstract art transforms as it moves across mediums, shifting in texture, mood, and sensory impact while retaining its emotional core.

At the center of this piece stands a hand-built clay tree sculpture adorned with suspended stained-glass talismans, each infused with Lilia’s signature abstract imagery. As light passes through the glass, the ornaments glow and refract, animating the surrounding space. Nestled among the branches, small clay figurines gather like quiet guardians—witnesses within a world that feels at once whimsical and reverent.

Lilia’s abstract paintings, originally created as two-dimensional digital works, are hydroprinted onto the stained-glass ornaments, giving the imagery a new dimensional presence. Through this process, her marks and colors flow across curved surfaces, producing shifts in opacity, depth, and texture. The paintings become atmospheric rather than fixed, activated by transparency and movement as light filters through the glass. Each talisman exists as both an extension of the original artwork and a singular object shaped by chance and material response.

Throughout Enchanted Abstract Forest, Lilia’s art reappears in dialogue with silk fabric, clay, stained glass, paper, plastic, and light—each material offering a distinct lens through which to experience abstraction. Together, these elements form an immersive environment that encourages slow looking and embodied exploration, revealing how color and gesture can evolve when released from the constraints of a single surface.
